Who we are
Our website address is: https://chengineer.in.
What personal data we collect and why we collect it
Like most website operators, ChEngineer collects non-personally-identifying information of the sort that web browsers and servers typically make available, such as the browser type, language preference, referring site, and the date and time of each visitor request. Our purpose in collecting non-personally identifying information is to better understand how our visitors use its website.
ChEngineer also collects potentially personally-identifying information like Internet Protocol (IP) addresses for logged in users and for users leaving Comments (as defined in the TOS). ChEngineer only discloses logged in user and commenter IP addresses under the same circumstances that it uses and discloses personally-identifying information as described below, except that blog commenter IP addresses and email addresses are visible and disclosed to the administrators of the blog where the comment was left.
Gathering of Personally-Identifying Information
Certain visitors to ChEngineer’s websites choose to interact with ChEngineer in ways that require ChEngineer to gather personally-identifying information. The amount and type of information that ChEngineer gathers depends on the nature of the interaction. In each case, ChEngineer collects such information only insofar as is necessary or appropriate to fulfill the purpose of the visitor’s interaction with ChEngineer. We do not disclose personally-identifying information other than as described below. And visitors can always refuse to supply personally-identifying information, with the caveat that it may prevent them from engaging in certain website-related activities.
When visitors leave comments on the site we collect the data shown in the comments form, and also the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string to help spam detection.
If you upload images to the website, you should avoid uploading images with embedded location data (EXIF GPS) included. Visitors to the website can download and extract any location data from images on the website.
If you leave a comment on our site you may opt-in to saving your name, email address and website in cookies. These are for your convenience so that you do not have to fill in your details again when you leave another comment. These cookies will last for one year.
If you have an account and you log in to this site, we will set a temporary cookie to determine if your browser accepts cookies. This cookie contains no personal data and is discarded when you close your browser.
When you log in, we will also set up several cookies to save your login information and your screen display choices. Login cookies last for two days, and screen options cookies last for a year. If you select “Remember Me”, your login will persist for two weeks. If you log out of your account, the login cookies will be removed.
If you edit or publish an article, an additional cookie will be saved in your browser. This cookie includes no personal data and simply indicates the post ID of the article you just edited. It expires after 1 day.
Embedded content from other websites
Articles on this site may include embedded content (e.g. videos, images, articles, etc.). Embedded content from other websites behaves in the exact same way as if the visitor has visited the other website.

ChEngineer strongly believes in freedom of speech. However, there are a few categories of content and behaviour that we don’t permit because we consider them harmful to the community. To be transparent about what is and isn’t allowed on this site, we’ve put together this set of guidelines. The following activity/material isn’t allowed on ChEngineer or within its community.
Illegal content and conduct.
Intellectual property infringement.
ChEngineer offers a way for users to share and interact with each other, however illegally sharing copyrighted materials is not permitted. If you’re not sure, a good rule of thumb is to always ask the rights holder for permission before republishing their content.
We know that there may be different definitions of this, but generally, we define pornography as visual depictions of nudity or sexually explicit acts. If you need to be 18 or older to view content posted, it is not allowed.
Technologically harmful content.
Please don’t upload or link to malware, spyware, adware, or other malicious or destructive code.
Don’t claim to be a person or organization you’re not.
Directly threatening material.
We don’t tolerate direct and realistic threats of violence. (This doesn’t mean that we’ll remove all hyperbole or offensive language.)
Posting private information.
Don’t share someone’s personal information without their consent.
Advertising isn’t permitted without express written consent.
Spam or machine-generated content.
You know what this is, but in general, sites such as those primarily dedicated to driving traffic to third-party sites, boost SEO, Phish, spoof, or promote affiliate marketing aren’t cool.
Please bear in mind that these are just guidelines — interpretations are up to ChEngineer. These guidelines are not exhaustive and are subject to change.
